IPL photorejuvenation (Intense Pulsed Light) at Enhancements Facial Plastic Surgery in Bethlehem, PA is a non-invasive treatment that blends and evens out skin coloration by removing age spots, freckles, red spots, small veins, small moles, birthmarks, and large pores. IPL removes Age-spots, Freckles, Red-spots, Small Veins, Small Moles, Birth Marks, and just about any kind of ‘spot’ on the skin’s surface. It is also one of the best ways to reduce large pores.

Just as it sounds, a very bright light is ‘flashed’ onto the treatment area. Patients feel a pleasant warmth, followed by a slight sting or snap. Cold gel is applied first — and our cold air blower is used during the procedure in order to minimize any discomfort.

A very nice side effect of IPL therapy is improved skin-tone, with a small degree of skin-tightening. The Naturalight System used at Enhancements requires from one to several treatments, depending on the type and severity of the problem. IPL can only be used on light skin.

Although it is possible to use an IPL for hair or vein removal, Dr. Sackman usually prefers to use the more effective Enhancements laser technology to treat unwanted hair and veins.
