Botox & Line Softening Injections

Botox® is a line-softening injectable treatment offered at Enhancements Facial Plastic Surgery in Bethlehem PA, serving patients throughout the Lehigh Valley, Easton, and surrounding communities. Botox® and similar neuromodulators eliminate dynamic facial lines — the wrinkles that appear when you express yourself — and are often called "The Magic Juice" for their remarkable results.

Botox® is the original product from the Allergan company. Dysport®, made by Galderma USA, and Xeomin®, made by Merz, are newer products developed for the same purpose. Each works by temporarily relaxing the tiny muscles responsible for expression lines.

Although this is not the only reason the products were invented, when properly injected, they work miraculously well to reduce the lines and wrinkles which form when we move our face through its normal expressions.

Common treatment areas include transverse forehead lines (as when surprised), vertical depressions between the eyebrows (as when squinting), crow’s feet around the eyes (as when smiling), and vertical lines around the mouth (as when puckering).

The injections are really quite painless. After icing, the doctor uses very tiny needles to insert the product into the problem area. Results appear in 3 to 5 days following treatment.
